I always have a obsession towards butterscotch flavour specially for ice-creams. I wanted to make some dessert which is butterscotch flavour from long time. So finally I made these butterscotch chips to make shrikhand. Hope to make many more desserts of this flavour in future :).

Makes: 1 cup

Ingredients:
1 cup Brown Sugar ( can use white sugar too)
1/4 cup Butter
1 tsp Vanilla Essence

Method:
1.Grease Tray and keep ready.
2.Take a thick bottom pan. Keep in low flame and add butter to it. when butter melts add Sugar.
3.Keep it on flame just till it becomes like syrup and just starts boiling.Don't keep for longer time which will burn the syrup.
ButterScotch Chips

4.Switch off and add vanilla essence and mix.
5.Pour the syrup on the greased tray. Let it cool for sometime.
6.It will Harden on cooling. You can remove butterscotch chips using knife/spatula from tray.
7.Store the chips in airtight container and use it as required.
