Mooli/Radish Paratha is yummy Indian flat bread where stuffing is made with grated mooli/radish ,mooli/radish leaves and other spices.It is popular punjabi breakfast dish.
I always loved paratha's but always used to think it is difficult to make. As my cooking journey started after marriage, trials for paratha's too started :). Eventhogh struggled intially, now i can manage to make :).
There are so many stuffings we can make aloo,gobi, methi and list goes on. and today presenting you mooli/radish stuffed paratha. I must say it is an easy way to make eating veggies to the fussy veg eater like my husband ;).
Makes:6
Ingredients:
1.5 cup Wheat Flour
1 cup Mooli/Radish grated
1/4 cup Mooli Leaves(finely chopped)
1 Green Chilly(finely chopped)
2 tsp Red Chilly Powder
1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder
1 tsp Garam Masala
1 tsp Dry Mango Powder
Salt to taste
Method:
1.Grate the radish and keep aside for 10 minutes.
2.Squeeze the water from radish and same water can be used to prepare dough.
3.Prepare the wheat flour dough and keep aside.
4.Add all remaining ingredients to radish and mix well.
5.Dough is ready and stuffing is ready. lets do paratha now.
6.Take 2 lemon sized dough and roll into puri size. Take stuffing(around lemon size) and place it on one rolled dough and place the other rolled dough on top of it and seal the edges.
Don't use too much stuffing. Paratha may break while rolling.
7.Roll the paratha on dusted flour surface carefully. Don't apply too much pressure while rolling.
8.Fry on heated tava using oil or ghee till it becomes golden from both sides.
It will get brown spots . Let the paratha get cooked well.
9.Enjoy Paratha with curd/pickle or butter.
