Prawn Masala is spicy,delicious quick recipe made with prawns.
This recipe needs no preparation and its very tasty. This goes well with rice as well as roti .
This is spicy enough to waken up your tastebuds. You can reduce spiciness by reducing green chilly,red chilly powder.
Serves: 2-3
Ingredients:
1 Cup Prawns/Shrimp (cleaned and deveined)
2 Onion chopped finely
2 Tomato chopped finely/pureed
2 Green Chilly(half split lengthwise)
5 Garlic Cloves chopped
1/2 inch Ginger chopped
1/2 tsp Sugar
1 tsp Cumin Seeds
1/4 Cup Coriander leaves
1 tsp Red Chilly powder
1/4 tsp Turmeric
1/4 tsp Pepper Powder
1/2 tsp Garam Masala
1 Tbsp Oil
1 tsp Lemon Juice
1/4 Cup Water
Salt to taste
Method:
1.Heat the oil in wide pan. Add cumin seeds. when they splutter add onion and saute till they turn brown.
2.Now add ginger, garlic and green chilly and saute for 10 seconds.
3.Now add chilly powder,turmeric powder, Pepper powder and half of the Coriander leaves(chopped) to it and keep sauting.
4.Add Tomato,salt,sugar and saute till tomato is mushy and oil seperates.
5.Add water to make it to desired consistency of your choice.
6.Now add the prawns and cook covered on medium falme for 6-7 minutes. Don't overcook the prawns.
7.Add the Garam Masala and lemon juice at the end and stir slowly to mix in and switch off the gas.
8.Garnish with remaining coriander leaves.
9.Enjoy with Rice/Roti :)
