Tutti frutti is nothing but candid fruit made with raw papaya and coloured to different colours :).
Tutti frutti gives an amazing flavour and special taste to cookies ,ice creams, cakes or wherever you add this.My husband loves these tutti frutti cookies and ice creams.So I make these cookies very often.I adaped the recipe from varevah. It is so easy to make in so less time.
I always wanted to make something out of tutti frutti and put into the blog. Finally, cookies are into blog. Soon I will be making cakes and ice creams using these tutti frutti :). Till then enjoy these yummy cookies.

These are cookies made using tutti frutti specially during Chirstmas
Yield: 40 Cookies
Ingredients:
2 Cup All Purpose Flour
5 Tbsp Custard Powder
1.5 Tbsp Milk Powder
1/2 Cup Tutti Frutti
1/4 Cup Dry fruits/Nuts
1 Tbsp Cardmom Powder
1/2 tsp Baking Powder
1/2 tsp Pineappale Essence
3/4 Cup Butter
1 Cup Powdered Sugar
3 Tbsp Milk/Water
Directions:
1.In a mixing bowl Take half of Tutti Frutti and dry fruits of your choice .
2.Add All Purpose Flour,Custard Powder,Milk Powder,Cardmom Powder and Baking Powder to it and mix well so that everything gets combined well.
3.In a seperate bowl add Butter and beat well with sugar till fluffy and smooth.
4.Add Pineapple Essence and Milk/Water to Butter mixture. And Mix well.
5.Now add dry mixture(from step 2) to Butter mixture.
6.Bring everything together and make a dough.
7.Now dust the working surface with little flour and roll it flat.Sprinkle remaining tutti frutti on top while rolling. Roll up and down gently to desired thickness.
8.Tap the edges to make rectangle shape or instead of rolling flat on the surface ,you can make a log shape out of it.
9.Tightly wrap the shaped cookie dough and freeze for 15 - 20 min for firmer shaped cookies.
10.Cut the rectangle shaped dough into squares or log shape into circles.
11.Place the cookies into baking sheet leaving some space between cookies.
12.Preheat the oven at 180 degree and bake at 180 degree for 10 to 15 min.(till edges are browned)
13.Keep Checking after 10 min so that cookies won't get burnt.
14.Cookies will be softer when hot and will be little firm after cooling.

Notes:
1.You Can mix all Tutti Frutti in the first step itself.
2.You can replace custard powder with corn flour.
3.If you have plans to freeze make into log shape , that will be easier.
I usually cut into squares and keep in the baking sheet and then keep that into refrigerator till oven is preheated.[cant wait for 20 minutes of freezing ;) ]
