How many of you make chocolate syrup at home? Say NO to store bought from now . You can make Chocolate syrup easily at home with very basic ingredients.The main ingredient is Cocoa Powder.
Sometimes I wonder why do I buy some simple stuffs which I can easily make at home. Yes, it is very, very easy to make chocolate syrup at home.Why to use store bought where they add artificial flavors ,preservatives and so on. It just takes 5 minutes to make at home.
I ate half of it just as it is :). Trust me it is that tasty.You can add it on your ice creams, milk shakes, cold coffee and so on. See here how I used in cold coffee.

Home made Chocolate Syrup
Yields: 1/2 - 3/4 Cup
Ingredients:
1/2 Cup Cocoa Powder
3/4 Cup Water
1 Cup Sugar
1/4 tsp Vanilla Extract

Home made Chocolate Syrup
Yields: 1/2 - 3/4 Cup
Ingredients:
1/2 Cup Cocoa Powder
3/4 Cup Water
1 Cup Sugar
1/4 tsp Vanilla Extract
Pinch of Salt

1.In a sauce pan mix in cocoa powder,sugar,salt.
2.Add the water and mix well so that no lumps are formed.
3.Now heat it on medium flame till it comes to boil and keep stirring to avoid burning.
4.Keep it for some more minutes till syrup thickens. It will thicken little more after cooling.
5.Switch off and mix in vanilla extract.
6.Let it cool down. Store it in refrigerator in refrigerator safe air tight container.
7.Enjoy with your loved ice creams, milk shakes and so on :)
