It is a classic recipe of coastal Karnataka (North Canara ) which I learned from mom where we use minimal spices. There is a variation to this recipe when you see Mangalore (South Canara) prawn curry recipes where some more spices are used. Usually, in the Mangalore side, it is called prawn gassi. Everything is aromatic and flavourful when you do with Prawns.
It's a less spicy, thick curry made by cooking prawns in a fine paste of coconut with spices. This is very easy and quick to do. This is my go-to recipe for prawns curry.
Trust me you will love it. Do try it.
