Lip-smacking starter or appetizer which is crispy and cheesy fried balls made with corn, potato, and cheese.
Yileds: 13-15 medium Balls
Ingredients:
Corn-Cheese Mixture
1 Cup Sweet Corn (Softened)
1 Cup Potato (3 medium)(Boiled and Grated)
1/4 Cup Processed Cheese
1 Cup Mozzarella Cheese
1/2 tsp Oregano
1/2 tsp Pepper Powder
1 Garlic Clove finely chopped
1 Tbsp Corn Flour
2 Tbsp All-Purpose Flour
1 tsp Green Chilli (Finely chopped)
2 Tbsp Fresh Coriander (Chopped)
Salt to taste
Slurry
3 Tbsp All Purpose Flour(Maida)
3 Tbsp Corn Flour
1/2 Cup Water
Salt to taste
1 Cup Bread Crumbs
Directions:
1. Make a coarse paste of corn kernels.
2. In a mixing bowl add all the ingredients under 'Corn-Cheese Mixture' and mix well and form a dough.
3. Grease your hands with little oil and Make lemon sized round balls from the mixture. Freeze it for 10-15 minutes. [ Freeze for future at this step *Notes]
4. Make a lump-free slurry by mixing ingredients under 'Slurry'.
5. Dip the balls in Slurry and then coat well with bread crumbs.
6. Coat the balls twice for crispiness. Repeat step 5 for all balls and Freeze for 15 minutes.
7. Heat oil in a thick bottomed pan.
8. When the oil becomes hot, make sure to keep the flame in medium and fry the balls till they are golden brown and crispy.
9. Enjoy hot crispy cheese balls with tomato ketchup.

1. Keep the balls in a single layer in the tray and freeze for 1-2 hours and then keep in a freezer-safe zip lock.
2. Double coat the balls for crispiness.
3. Freeze after coating to avoid bursting in oil.
